<p>The new layout provides the ability to apply for membership online,  access and book a space at forthcoming networking and CPD events as well  as access to our virtual networking forum on LinkedIn.</p>
<p>It also includes a library of information relevant to those involved  in marketing and business development in the construction industry in  Scotland. The website has been designed by Farmore IT, a Scottish based  design company.</p>
<p>We welcome your feedback on any aspect of our new website as it is  important that our users find it welcoming and easy to navigate.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The CIMCIGS professional update seminars continued in March with a briefing from the Scottish Futures Trust (SFT).</p>
<p>The SFT will play a crucial role in the procurement of a range of projects in Scotland including the new schools investment programme and the hub programme.</p>
<p>This seminar provided CIMCIGS members and their guests a great opportunity to hear about the SFT&#8217;s role in the procurement of significant infrastructure projects.</p>
<p><strong>Colin Proctor </strong><a href="http://www.cimcigs.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Untitled-1.jpg"><img src="http://www.cimcigs.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Untitled-1.jpg" alt="" title="Untitled-1" width="109" height="72" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-257" /></a></p>
<p>Colin joined SFT in December 2009 as Accommodation Director. Colin is a chartered surveyor and most recently was a Partner in a large international construction consultancy practice. He has over 20 years experience of working in the construction and property development market, advising on major projects and programmes across the UK and Ireland in a wide range of sectors.</p>
<p><strong>Claire Blake </strong><a href="http://www.cimcigs.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Untitled-21.jpg"><img src="http://www.cimcigs.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Untitled-21.jpg" alt="" title="Untitled-2" width="110" height="96" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-258" /></a> </p>
<p>Claire joined SFT in October 2009 as associate director in the accommodation team with a current focus on hub delivery. Previously she was a lawyer with Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP specialising in public procurement and projects across a range of sectors.</p>
