The Group’s primary objective is to enhance the marketing skills and knowledge of its members through a structured programme of presentations and discussion forums, supported by leading marketing professionals. Subject matter is specifically chosen to address the current marketing and communication needs of the members.
Both the evening seminars and the additional social events that make up the annual programme also offer excellent networking opportunities for those working in the Property & Construction industry in Scotland through a structured programme of CPD presentations.
New Members
New members and guests are always welcome. Networking lunches are held on the last Friday of each month, alternating between Glasgow and Edinburgh. CPD events are usually held on a Wednesday or Thursday, either as a breakfast seminar between 8am and 10am or in the evening between 5 and 7pm.
Founder’s Statement
“The Property & Construction industry is undergoing a period of unprecedented change, which is being driven by clients who are becoming increasingly sophisticated and as a result more demanding. Increased competition across all sectors of the industry is also an added burden. In light of these changes the industry needs to adapt to ensure it provides increased client satisfaction and individual organisations need to differentiate themselves in order to gain a sustainable competitive advantage.
The Property & Construction industry has been slow to wake up to the significant benefits that marketing can deliver. Marketing has been seen as a bolt on luxury, which in hard times is the first function to be dropped. Other industries have been alive to the benefits of marketing for many years and have developed their organisational structures to ensure marketing is a central and integrated function.
CIMCIGS is also about promoting best practice, sharing ideas and enhancing the skills of marketers within the Property & Construction industry, which can only help raise the profile and perception of the industry as a whole.”
